SNOOKER TOURNEY.
The Auckland provincial open snooker championship was continued last night when two more matches wero decided. In the first match W. Thompson defeated « . A. Smith bv two straight games. tl»o scores being «T.—37. 73—3«. Thompson Played well and made a break of 20. Smith did not receive many opportunities and the balls did not break favourably for him. The first match in the second round was played between R. North and A. Moon. North winninjr l>.v two straight jramos. tno scores reading 4!1 —'{.t. 44—The games to-night are:—7.3" p.m.. \V. Wh.vte v. P. Watson: 8.30 p.m., \V. McCowatt v. C. Cummins.
