WHEN TO RESUME?
SECOND ARBITRATION COURT.

"The Federation of Labour is not responsible for the cessation of the Second Arbitration Court and the Court will function again if occasion arises." In these terms the Minister of Labour, Mr. Webb, replied to Mr. F. W. Doidge (National, Tauranga). in the House of Representatives last night, when he asked for the information concerning the Court.
Mr. Doidge pointed out that when the Court was set up a judge was appointed at a salary of £2000 a year for life. The Court was no longer in operation and the Government should say what its intentions were. He asked if action by j the Federation of Labour was respon- I sible for the Court being put out of j operation. j
A further question by Mr. Doidge for i information relating to circumstance? leading up to the resignation of the first workers' representative on the Court, was not answered by the Minister. 1
