REMITS DISCUSSED.
SCHOOL DELEGATES CONFER. Remits were discussed at the annual nation;) I conference of the Dominion Federation of School Committees' Associations of Xew Zealand, which opened yesterday with 28 delegates from all parts of the Dominion in attendance. Mix. F. W. Mountjoy, president of the Auckland School Committees' Association. welcomed the visitors, and the Dominion president, Mr. W. H. Fortune, presided.
At the conclusion of the afternoon session, the Mayor, Sir Ernest Davis, tendered a civic reception to the delegate*. and entertained them «t afternoo.i tea. Three remits were passed in the evening. They advocated that all children over 12 years of ape be given manual training; that provision be made for teaching elementary civics in primary schools; and that more suitable physical training be given to primary school pupils.
