HOME AGAIN.
PRIME MINISTER.
looking remarkably well.
AND IN HIGH SPIRITS.
(By Telegraph.— Parliamentary Reporter.)
WELLINGTON, this day,
Looking remarkably well after his stay in hospital, the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, left Lewisham today for his home in Northland. He was accompanied by the Speaker of the Legislative Council, the Hon. M. Faga , and the Minister of Mines, the Hon. F. C. Webb. ~ Before leaving, Mr. Savage saiu goodbve to those who had looked and also to some of the patients. He walked out to his waiting car in mgn spirits. , Just as the car was leaving Mr. v.a\age suddenlv remembered that he had forgotten to thank one of the sisters •who. had looked after him. He stopped the car and walked back to the hospital and remedied' the omission. On arrival at his home he walked up the steps to the front door without difficulty and immediately sat down to his morning cup of broth. Mr. Savage was a patient at the hospital for a little more- than three weeke. He underwent his operation on August 4.
It is not likely he will resume his official duties in the House of Representatives this session.
Yesterday the Governor-General, Lord Galwav, visited Mr. Savage in the hospital. Mr. Webb, who has been a patient in the same hospital for eye trouble, left yesterday. He expects to be completely right in a few days, though he still wears dark glasses.
