FILMS AND CHURCH.
VIGILANCE COMMITTEE. An Auckland branch of tlie Cinema Christian Council of New Zealand was formed last night, to act as a vigilance committee in respect of films generally, and as an advisory committee in respect of nub-standard religions films shown in churches and Sundav schools.
The clcction of officers resulted: — President, the Rev. T. C. H. Partridge; \ ice-presidents. the Rev. C. W. Duncumb and the Rev. ]. Laurenson; secretary, Mr. Whitehead; treasurer, Mr. E. Brackenrig; and a committee consisting of representatives from the Church of England, tiie Presbyterian, Methodist. Baptist and Congregational Churches, and the Associated Churches of Christ.
