UNSETTLED ESTATE.

SIR P. SASSOON'S £1,946,000. (Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 15. Sir Phillip Saesoon, former UnderSecretary for Air, who died on June 3, has left an unsettled estate valued at £1,946,000.

The death duties amount to £789.906, says a British official wireless message. His bequests include £5000 to be applied at each half-yearly passing out of cadets from the Royal Air Force Cadet College at Cranwell in « prize for the best allround cadet, excepting the winner of the Sword of Honour.

He has also left to the British Museum the original of Earl Haig's famous QHer of the Day for April 19, 191&.
