LIVE STOCK MARKET.

KING COUNTRY PRICES. DAIRY COWS IN DEMAND. GOOD COMPETITION FOR PIGS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) TAUMARUNUI, Tuesday. There was a yarding of over 300 dairy cows and heifers and about 200 pigs at the Taumarunui stock sale to-day, when buyers were present from all parts of the Waikato and King Country. The sale was particularly brisk and the early calvers, cows in milk and marked heifers, were in demand at prices in advance of late sales. Pigs were keenly sought and sold freely at advanced rates. District farmers secured the majority of the pigs, but most of the cows and heifers went to outside buyers.
