MEETING OF BISHOPS.
WELMWGTON ASSEMBLAGE.

W ELLINGTON, Tuesday
The Archbishop of New Zealand, Archbishop Averill, and the Anglican bishops will assemble in Wellington this week to attend a meeting of the Bench of Bishops and of the Standing Committee of the General Synod. The Bishop of YYaiapu, the Rt. Rev. G. V. Gerard, lias been in Wellington for some days, and the Bishop of Dunedin, the Rt. Rev. W. A. R. has arrived from trie South. The annua? meeting of the Bible in Schools League was held to-day, the Archbishop presiding.
The Board of Missions will hold its annual meeting to-morrow, to be followed at 8 p.m. by the annual provincial service of the Anglican Church, in St. Peter's. The sermon will be preached by the Bishop of Waiapu.
The Standing Committee of the General Synod will meet on Thursday morning and meetings of minor boards and trusts will be held later in the week.
