HIGHER BUS FARES.
HEW X.YNN PEOPLE PROTEST.
A petition signed by 3RS residents was received by the New Lynn Borough Council last evening askinjr the council to protest against the proposed increase in bus fares and that apprenticeship tickets and other concessions be reinstated. The council resolved that if the petition were put into correct form and resubmittod, covering the increase in fares, cancellation of apprenticeship tickets, the use of workers' tickets on public holidays, and the provision of more buses at peak hours, the council would forward it to the No. 1 Transport Licensing Authority.
