ACTING-LEADER'S PLANS. THE FINANCIAL DEBATE. <By Telegraph. — Parliamentary Reporter.* WELLTXGTuX. this day. In order to expedite the completion of the financial debate in thp House of Representatives the acting-Leader of the House, ihe Hon. P. Fraser, stated at the conclusion of a Government caucus tlii. that he proposed to ask for urgency for this business, althonjrh the Government did not desire unduly long sitting-e. With the financial debate completed the way will lje clear for putting into legislative form new taxation proposals. A finance bill will incorporate some of the taxation features, while changes in the petrol and beer duties will be confirmed in a special Customs bfil. Considerations of the general Estimates will begin immediately the debate ends. In view of the eteps now being taken to speed up the pace of Parliament it is no; anticipated that the session will l>e prolonged beyond the end of September at the latest.
