.SUSPECT REMANDED,
On Saturday night the office of the Kanri Timber Company, Limited, at Papatoetoe. wan broken into, when a small sum of money who stolen from a bug in a drawer. The intruder was disturbed by a nightwatchinan who was making his rounds about 7 o'clock, but escaped in the darkness.
Yesterday .*>. mnn was arrested and this morning Rnlicrt Hume, a labourer of 37, appeared ill the Police Court, charged, on August 12, with breaking and entering the counting ot the Kauri Timber Company. Station Road. Papatoetoe, and stealing 1/11. On the application of DetectiveSergeant Nalder, aeotwed was remanded by Mr. J. Moiling, S.M., to appear on August 21.
