CARRICK TOO GOOD FOR SUTTON
When the Auckland provincial annua] billiards championship was continued on Saturday night R. Carriek defeated E. C. Sutton after a brilliant display of allround billiards. Carriek was in excellent touch at the commencement of the game and scored with remarkable consistency, averaging over 18 points per cue. Sutton found the opposition too great and was unable to make any headway. Carrick's display wag one of the finest seen for many vnars. The final scores were:—R. Carriek, 500, breaks 41, 49, 47, 43, 31, 23, 60, 21 and 63; E. C. Sutton, 80. The first semi-final between R. Carriek and R. Whitford will be played to-night, commencing at 7.30 p.m. WON BY MOSES. (By Telegraph.—l'ress Association.) WKLTJNGTOX, Saturday. Tlie final of the Wellington amateur billiards championship played to-night was won by S. Moses, who defeated A. Armstrong by r>oo to 31H. The best breaks were :—Moses, 32, 00. 37. 24, 40, 22. 24. t."i, 37 unfinished ; Armstrong,' 40, 30, 23. 23, 30, 20.
