SOCIAL AND DANCE.

HAYNES CATERING COMPANY,

A successful function was held on Saturday evening in the firm's new building, Hobson Street, when members of the stall of the Havnes Catering Company held their annual dance and social. The guests were received by the hostess of the evening. Miss McTavish, who wore navy embossed marocain, with coatee to match.

A presentation of a grandfather clock was made by the staff to the head of the firm, Mr. John Havnes.

Supper was held in the long vestibule of the main building, the tables being decorated with Iceland poppies and Scotch heather. Miss Bunting, the manageress, had charge of the arrangements in the supper room. She wore a dress of cherry satin beaute. During the evening Mrs. G. Ryan gave a solo, Mr. Jim Ryan a pianoforte solo and the Misses Irene and Pat Keepa a tap dance and hula dancc.
