KING'S OLD BOYS.
BUILDING REQUIREMENTS. ASSOCIATION'S OFFICERS. Many former pupils attended the annual meeting of the King's College Old Boys' Association, held last evening in the Chamber of Commerce Hall. The retiring president, Mr. R. King, in reviewing the year, reported a considerable increase in membership, and "mentioned that. the association's branches in Hamilton and Whangarei were flourishig. Mr. B. H. Kingston said that it was hoped, in the near future, to launch a scheme for raising from £12,000 to £15,000 for the building of a new boarding block at the collejre, as a memorial to the late Mr. C. T. Major. Additional boarding accommodation at the college was urgently needed.
In recognition of their long service, to the association Messrs. A. P. Reid and J. M. Carpenter were elected life members. The association's annual reunion will be celebrated during the week-end. This will include a dinner to-night. Old boys will attend a match this afternoon between King'* College and Mount Albeit Grammar School at Eden Park. A service will be held in the college chapel tomorrow morning-. Later old boys will have dinner at the college. In the afternoon they will visit King's School, Rcmtiera, where afternoon tea will be served. Officers for the coming year were elected as follows:—President, Mr. B. H. Kingston; vice-presidents, Mr. J. A. B. Hellaby and Dr. S. Morris; committee, Messrs. C. G. Palmer, C. 11. Leighton, T. Jackson (seniors), G. P. Shaw, J. H. Jackson, P. PI. Mowbray (juniors); representative at college, Mr. V. F. Maxwell; editors of old boys' section of magazine, Messrs. A. B. Rainger and P. A. Germann; honorary auditor, Mr. Howard Johnson.
