FAREWELL GALA DAY.
ARRANGEMENTS DISCI'SSED. Further arrangements for "the farewell gala day to the Auckland members of the New Zealand touring team on Saturday week were made at a meeting of the Rugby League Control Biwird last evening. Mr. L. E. Bull, chairman of the Referees' Association, conferred with the board on th<» question of reaching a working arrangement as to when injured or replacing players should take the Held. It was decided that an injured player may return to the field at any time, but n replacing player must report either to the line umpire or the referee before taking the field. The Kotorua Rugby League, reporting that the game was progressing steadily in that district, inquired as to the prospect of a team playing nt Carlaw Park in the near future. It was decided to send a copy of the communication to the clubs. On behalf of the New Zealand Defence Lengue, Mr. A. F. Trousdale made an appeal for co-operation in connection with membership. It was decided tlwit all that could be done was to commend the objects of the League to the clubs. Transfer and Regraile.—H. S. Skinner. Newton Rangers to Point Chevalier senior B. Reinstatement.—H.
