YOUNG MAN INJURED.
FOUR FINGERS SEVERED. (From Our Correspondent.l TUAKAL. Monday. The loss of four fingers of the right band was suffered by H. Cooney, single, aged 19. butcher's assistant, of Whangarata, to-day, when he was operating a power-driven machine. He was immediately given first aid and then taken to Dr. A. T. Begg, of Pukekohe, who dressed the injured hand. Cooney was later admitted to a private hospital in Auckland.
