INDUSTRY REVIVED.
DAIRYING ON EAST COAST.
N'KW HKRDS AND BUILDINGS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) GISBORNK, this day. Reflecting the marked revival of interest in dairying in the Gisborne. Fast Coast and Wairoa districts, many more cows will be milked next season. Now herds are to be brought on to some properties where dairying is not being carried out at present, while others milking cows intend increasing their herds. Therefore, if the coming season piovides normal conditions, it should be one of the biggest ever experienced in the district ami help to make up somewhat for the greatly reduced production during the past dairying period. Many new sheds are being built. Some of these are for new herds and others are on farms where conditions are being improved and where farmers realise the importance of carrying on their work under the best of conditions.
Sheds arc lieinjr constructed on modern lines itiskeepiii"; with the most hygienic principle*. Some of the new sheds and also new herds ate among the Maori community on the Kast Coast, where further considerable development of the dairying industry is contemplated.-
