CANDIDATES FOR TRENTHAM

(By Telegraph—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Recollection, who will go north tomorrow night to race at Trentham, gave an attractive display over four hurdles this morning. A. McMuliar. with Courtyard, C. C McCarthy with Haughty Winner and M B. Edwards with Phenomenal and Ponty left tor Wellington last night. Edwards was unable to take Gironde, who was lame alter a gallop earlier in the week and will require a spell. P.- , A - Roberts goes up to-night with Rex Maitland. Mungatoon and Waitaka, but - H. Xurse will delay his departure with Cottingham till to-morrow and hopes to school his horse over a few fences on Monday. Courtyard's arrival to-day will enable him to be schooled to-morrow. H. Cutts, M. Conzu, S. Barr, D. Cotton and A. J. Martin are other trainers going to-morrow, their teams totalling nine ■ horses. Silver Sidit will miss the Hack and Hunters" Steeplechase on Tuesday and will start in the Trentham Hurdles.
