BRITISH GOVERNMENT'S TRIBUTE

The following telegram has been received from the Secretary of Slate for Dominion Affairs following the death of Sir Thomas Wilford:-— "II is Majesty's Government learnt with regret of the death of Sir Thomas Wilford. The record of his public service to New Zealand is long and distinguished. In particular we recall with pleasure the years he sjient as High Couhii'k loner in London, where he did notable work."
Supreme tAiert judges, magistrates, and members of the legal profession combined to-day to pay tribute to the late Sir Thomas in the Supreme Court.
