RAPID BUILDING PROGRESS. ! Building operations at the military aerodrome at Whenuapai are being pushed ahead rapidly. The princi(>al structure is the l>ip concrete hangar, which requires massive foundations. Cassions are being sunk to take the thrust of the huge reinforced concrete arches, the designing of which involved niceties in engineering. Tenders have not yet been accepted for ths construction of the officers' barracks and quarters, but the contractors are pushing forward the erection of the barracks for single men, about 100 men being employed in this work.
