Polo-German Frontier Clash
Liquidated.
LEAGUE'S LATEST. MOVE. (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON. May 23. A message from Warsaw says the Polish Foreign Office considers liquidated the Kalthof incidents, in which a (Jerinan crowd set tire to and destroyed a Polish Customs house and later a lianzig citizen, Herr Gruebner, was fatally shot.
The Warsaw correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" says the Danzig Senate has given an assurance that steps will be taken to guarantee the proper functioning of the Polish Customs on Danzig territory, including additional police protection for Polish officials.
The League of Nations commissioner in Danzig, Dr. Burrkliardt, has been inRtrurted to return to Danzig and report on the situation to the League. This derision will reassert the League protection of Duu/.ig and is in accord with Poland'* wishes.
