PAPAKURA FIRE.

Fire broke out in a small cottage in East Street, Papakura, yesterdav afternoon at the back of Rliind's timber yard, and occupied by Mr. and Mrs. V. Williams. The prompt arrival of the fire brigade saved the buildine from becoming a total loss. The kitchen, where the lire is supposed to have started, was completely gutted, and a living room adjoining it was considerably damaged by lire and water. Damage to the extent of about £ 1 ■'») was done.
