Women Object To Abolition Of Flogging. OFFENCES AGAINST THEIR SEX (Received 10.30 a.m.) LOXDOX, May 11. Hundreds of delegates at the Women's Conservative Conference at Queen's Hall yelled an emphatic '"Xo," when asked to support the Home Office report recommending the abolition of the "cat" for offenders against women and children, and 2439 of the 2500 delegates voted in favour of the retention of flogging.
