(From Our Correspondent.) TE KUITI, Wednesday. The estimates adopted for 1939-40 by the Te Kuiti Borough Council provide for an increa.se in rates of 7-8 of a penny in the pound, from 1/2 to 1/2 7-8, OH the unimproved value. This ii> to find £4")2 for payments on streets and swimming Laths loans, and to meet a deficit in the jjenoral account. Work on the swimming baths was begun this week.
