MOTHERS' CLUB.
SOCIAL AFTERNOON. The Mothers' Club of the Y.W.C.A. held a social afternoon on Tuesday, Mrs. W. Manson presiding. A welcome wae given to the many visitors preeent, aleo to Miss Elsie Bennet, general secretary of the association. An enjoyable programme included pianoforte soloe by Mrs. Osborne; vocal sol oe by Meedames C. Dickens, O. Anderson, B. Fieher, J. Cydar and Mies Newman; humorous sketches by Miss E. Matthews. Competitions arranged by the president and Mrs. W. Hynee were won by Mrs. Johnston and Mies Rona Edwards. Consolation prizes went to Mrs. M. Wright and Mrs. Sanders. On behalf of the club Mrs. Manson presented Mre. M. Rankin with a bouquet in honour of her birthday. The accompanist was Mrs. Osborne. A dainty afternoon tea was served hy the hostesses, Mesdaines Lietz, Sherley and Le%via.
