RUGBY LEAGUE.
AUCKLAND REFEREES. DELGROSSO NEW MEMBER. At the meeting of the Auckland Rugby League Referees' Association last evening, Mr. K. Delgrosso, the former international player, was elected by ballot as a yiember. The chairman, Mr. L. K. Bull, said he felt sure that Mr. Delgroeso would prove himnelf as great a success as a referee as he had been as a representative and international player. , • ■ Expressing pleasure at his admission to the association. Mr. Delgrosso remarked that he noticed around the room a number of former playing associates, as well ad referee*, who. at times, hud kept a close eve on him on the playing field! The official critic, Mr. Saunders, dealt with the control of scrum play and play-the-bail rules.
