LEAGUE OF MOTHERS.

Onehunga.—A good attendance enjoyed a "Xovelty Afternoon." A num-l«-r of apologies were received from members fluttering from the prevailing epidemic. Mrs. R. G. Kirkpatrick (president) led community singing and introduced competitions. * Songs were pleasingly rendered by Mrs. J. C. Sibbin, accompanied 'by Airs. Alclnlyre. Little Alaster Rollings gave* two clever mouth-organ solos. The "thought for the month" was given by Afrs. l«iniond. Arrangements were made for a memorial wreath to be sent from the league on Aiiwic Day. A brisk bring and buy sale lidded considerably to the funds. A birthday bouquet was sent to one of the oldest members, Airs. I{. Fordyce. Epsom.—The April meeting of flic Epsom branch was presided over bv the interim president. Airs. ,1. M. Klliffe! Alr.s. Cornish, president of the Wellington Provincial Committee, who was present, gava greetings from the province, also from her branch at Kliandallah. A talk on pottery was given by Aliss Olive •lones. Songs were rendered by Airs. Bell Booth. Grey Lyan.—The Grey Lynn branch of the League of Afothers met in the Richmond Baptist Schoolroom for the monthly meeting, Airs. Ifynes presiding. Airs. H. Porter read an account of thej provincial meeting. The Rev. E. Orr was the speaker. lie gave nil address on "The Sanctity of Alarriage'' and also rendered several baritone solos. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Alesdames Armitage, Brown and Bolcr. Mount Albert.—At the April meeting of the Alount Albert branch of the league of Alothers Airs. Al. Turner presided over a good attendance. Mrs. Bradstreet spoke oil "Our Loyalties." Airs. Batkin contributed the thought for the 'month. Airs. X r . I'tting rendered Solos and Mrs. Ohms recited. Airs. E. Turner and helpers were in charge of afternoon tea. and Airs. Watt am and Airs. Bourkc acted a.s hostesses. Belmont—Bayswater. — Airs. Verran presided at. the monthly meeting. A paper was read in connection with the League of Afothers formed on Pitcairn Island.
