THRILLS AND CHILLS.
CHANG'S MYSTIC REVUE. "Is he half devil and half man?" is the question being asked of Chang, the famed Oriental magician, who opens a season with his revue company at His Theatre on Wednesday next. The answer to this question may be arrived at only after actually seeing him in action; but, according to advance reports, there seems to be some reason for believing the answer to be in the affirmative. For Chang, out of apparent nothingness, produces ghosts (indicating that he might be a devil), and lovely girls (indicating that he could very easily be a man, although he must obviously possess some unnatural power, likely to be coveted by all men who see it work). The wizard presents more than a sequence of illusions, however; he uses his mystic talent as a means of introducing spectacular revue scenes. Leading lady in the revue is Joanna Claire, and she dances to the inusic of a clever Cuban Marimba orchestra. Booking arrangement* are advertised.
