GOLF EXHIBITIONS.

TWO AUSTRALIANS ARRIVE. (By Telegra ph.—Pre** A*sociatJ«p.) ifi. WELLINGTON, Monday. The Australian golfers, N. von Nida and Eric Cremin, arrived by the Awatea: to play exhibition, matches in the Dominion. After the tour Cremin -will return to Australia, but von Nida is going to Suva, Honolulu, America and England. He said that the standard of golf in Australia was high. To win a New South Wales competition it was necessary to better par figures. The New Zealand Centennial tourneys had aroused a great deal of interest in Australia. There would be at least 15 professionals, as well as a team of amateurs coming. He, .too, was coming back for these tourneys. Von Nida said that if the New Zealand :Golf Council was agreeaOTe he would do what he could to induce American and English golfere to take part in them. INDIES' OPEN DAT. 1 REMUERA COMPETITIONS. Wilson and Miss C. Rairger, 52—6—46. In the putting competition, Mrs. V. J. Johnson and Mrs. J. M. Alison tied with a score of 37. Mrs. Alison won on the count-back.
