MOZART BOYS' CHOIR.
SEASON OPENS TO-NIGHT. The celebrated Vienna Mozart Boys' Choir will' give the first concert of a sixnighte' season at the Town Hall to-night. There will be matinees on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Much is expected of this renowned organisation, which has recently delighted sophisticated musical audiences in Germany, Great Britain and the United States. A leading English Press ciitie eaid of them: "To find a choir of twenty eager lade (and a very prepossessing party they are, in looks and manner), ranging in age from 10 to 13, very well cultured singers, turning out gems of music of the golden age, is enough to make the adult choralists of these islands hang their heads in shame, and admit they are only on the outer fringe of real culture."
The first programme of the Auckland season, which will be given to-night and to-morrow night, will include a musical play, "Tales from the Vienna Woods," based on the melodies of Johann Strauss, arranged by the conductor, Dr. G ruber. There will be a selection of 16th century motets, by Gallue, Nascus and Asiila, and folk songs from many countries. Changes of programme will be made on Wednesday and Friday nights.
