EASTER AT HIS MAJESTY'S.
One of the most brilliantly successful showe ever to visit Australia, the controversial satire on modern life by Clare Boothe, "Ihe Women," will be seen in Auckland over Easter, the premiere performance being scheduled for Saturday night. The company of 40 actresses arrived here on Monday by the Maxiposa.
The cast is headed by the noted stage and screen star, Irene Purcell, while Mary Dees, who "doubled" for Jean. Harlow for the last scene of "Saratoga" is the next important cast member. Others who are prominent are Majorie Croseland, Jessica Rogers and Doris Packer.
Box plans are stated to be filling rapidly, and it ie expected that "The Women" will have a moet successful season here. It is an Ernest C. Rolls production, being presented under the direction of J. C. Williamson', Limited. Details -of booking arrangements are advertised.
