FIRST AID INSTRUCTION.
CLASSES AT OTAHUHU.
An enthusiastic meeting of ladies was held in the Holy Trinity Parish Hall, Otahuhu, last evening to consider the formation of first aid and home nursing classes under the St. John Ambulance. The Corps Superintendent, Mr. C. Lindesay, presided, and Mrs. E. Cammell, the Lady Corps Superintendent, addressed the meeting. In outlining the work of the St. John Ambulance Brigade and> the value of the teaching given, Mrs. Cammell asked that a nurs° ing division should be formed at Otalmhu so that the knowledge gained could be kept up-to-date. She also mentioned ; that classes were to be formed for the teaching of air raid precautions as the brigade had now its own qualified instructors.
It was unanimously decided to form a nursing division in which the Papatoctoe Nursing Division would give every assistance.
