OHINEMURI JOCKEY CLUB.

An excellent programme has been I arranged by the Ohinemuri Jockey Olub for its autumn meeting, to be held at Paeroa on Friday and Saturday, Marcfa 17 and 18, and large fields should be attracted. The chief event on the first day in the Ohinemuri Oup, of £700, one ;mile and three furlongs, while next in importance is the St. Patrick's Day Handicap, of £300, six furlongs. The other events are:—Karangahake Handicap, of £200, for two-year-olds,- five furlongs; Handicap Hurdles, of £200, about one mile and a half; Awaiti Handicap, of £200 (maiden event), six furlongs; Netherton Hack Handicap, of £250, nine furlongs; McGuire Steeplechase, of £200, about two miles and a half; and Komata Handicap, of £250 (hack conditions), six furloqgs.

On the second day the Shaw Handicap, of £450, nine furlongs, and the Hikutaia I Hack Oup, of £400, of similar distance, ! are the chief attractions, the other races | being:—Waitekauri Handicap, of £200, for two-year-old, five furlongs; Second Hurdles, of £250, one mile and threequarters; Waihi Handicap, of £200 (horses that have not won a race of £100 or over to winner), six furlongs; Hauraki Plains Steeplechase, about three miles; Paeroa Handicap, of £300, six furlongs, and Waikino Handic?-\ of £250 (hack conditions), about seven furlongs. Nominations close with Messrs. Blomfield and Company, Shortlahd Street, Auckland, at 5 p.m., or the secretary, Mr. J. J. Poland, i Paeroa, at 9 p.m. on Friday* Febrjjary.
