;• :: ■ ' ■ A meeting of the Auckland Horticultural Society was held in the Catholic Women's League rooms last night. The j president, Mr. A. C. Pye, presided,and welcomed members, of whom there were about 100 present. ■;', ', .•• .'. .;:,:.. . , During the evening a coloured film of the Netherlands, lent by Mrs. Bertha Wilson, was shown to members. Mr. , Vye expressed, the appreciation of members at'haying the opportunity to see a film of such g-reat educational , value and thanked Mrs. Wilsbn for her kindness in lending the film tb the ] society. -, •.-■ -. ;An exhibition of seedling dahlias was nW b /f? lr - , r W E - < dent 0 f th e club. The dahlias had all - beeir raised from ; this year's seedlings and' they, showeda remarkable variety of colour and form. Several, entries for 1 ; the D. A. Hay Memorial.Cup were, also ' on new.
