ARM LACERATED.
WELL-DBII.I.ING MISHAP. Caught by the arm in. well-boring machinery, and whirled off his feet, while assisting in boring operations on a farm property near the New Brighton Road,' Mangatangi,- yesterday, Mr. A. J. Bennett, o'fPapakura, an employee of K. J. Hutchinson, well-drilling engineers, Bombay, suffered, severe lacerations to the upper part of his right arm. Dr. A. T. Begg,. of Pukekohe, was summoned, and the injured man ,was •taken in a lorry to the Public Works highway depot between Mangatawhin and Mangatangi. A St: John ambulance was called from Auckland, and after receiving medical attention the' injured man was taken to the Auckland HosIpital. His condition is fairly serious.
