No Higher Education Under German Rule. PLANS FOR COLONIES. United Press Association.—Copyright. (Received 11 a.m.) BERLIN, February 8. A colonial propaganda official, Herr von Wiese, told Colonial League officials that an educated native always needs a superior white man's strong hand. Describing how Germany would treat the native population if the colonies were returned, he said that only in exceptional esses would the natives be allowed to attend high schools and universities. Each would receive a strip of land, the object being to bind him more closely to his kin and to the soil. COLONIAL LEAGUE. Will Stress Objections To German Claims. FORMATION IN LONDON. (Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, February 8. A meeting of Parliamentarians and others established a Colonial League for the, purpose of impressing the public with the importance of the Britieh
colonial Empire and stressing objections to any concession to the German demand for the surrender of colonies os mandated territories.
The council includes Lord Lugard, Lord Stonehaven, Lord Hailey, Lord Selborne and Mr. L. S. Amery (Con., Birmingham).
