STRUCK IN BACK.
TAKEN TO HOSPITAL. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHAXGAREI, this day. When working at Mason's min» works, in Lower Cameron Street, yesterday, Lionel Thorburn (29), of Taurikura, was struck in the small of the back by a boom. He wae taken to hospital by ambulance. He was comfortable this morning, but the ■ extent of his injuries will not be known until an X-ray examination ie made.
