BRAN AND POLLARD.
WHANGAREI COMPLAINT. NONE AVAILABLE IN NORTH. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHAXGAREI, thie daj. "Xo bran or pollard is available in Whangarei at any price. Apparently consumers in the south., and in the immediate vicinity of Auckland can get as much as they want, but practically none ie available for shipment. The position is impossible, and is inflicting great hardship upon dairymen and pig breeders," said Mr. H. *E. Johnson, president of the Whangarei Jersey Club, and a well-known breeder of pedigree stock. Mr. Johnson said that with a season like the present, when pasture was short, it wae almost impossible to keep valuable etock in good condition without supplementary feeding. With pigs to" be entered in the national bacon pig championship lese than two months from the killing date, it was impossible to cut down supplies without causing loss of condition.
