REMARKABLE ESCAPES.
MOTOR CTOUITS IN MIX-UP.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PALMERSTON NORTH, Wednesday. There were some remarkable escapes from injury when eight motor cyclists, members of a territorial convoy, were involved in a collision with a motor car near Mar ton. The motor cyclists were riding in formation and, while the leader saw the approaching car, the others did not. The second rider was unable to etcor clear and fell, the result being that those following had not time to avoid running into him or into others who fell. In a matter of a few moments cycles and riders were strewn all over the road. Only one rider needed medical attention.
