What ie expected to prove the most spectacular yachting contest ever held on the Waitemata will start next Wednesday when three Sydney 18-footers, Taree, present holder of the World's Championship Cup, Malvina. winner of the 18-footers' race at the Sydney Regatta last month, and Ht. George, will compete against 20 local yachts of the 18ft M and V classes. The first race will start at 2.30 p.m. off St. Mary's boat harbour, the second race at the same time and place oh Friday.
