MONTHLY SOCIAL.
COUNTIES' ASSOCIATION. BIRMINGHAM AND MIDLAND. The Birmingham and Midland Counties' Association held ' its monthly social and dance last evening at the Fabian Rooms, Lower Queen Street. The president, Mr. fl. V. Hampton, presided over a large attendance of members, visitors and friends. Dancing was interspersed with musical and elocutionary items, the programme being arranged by Mr. Ted Fraser. Kongs were given by Miss Muriel Fisher, Miss Gladys Wallis and Mr. Ted Fraser; elocutionary items by Miss June Hutton: duets and sketch by Miss Wallis and Mr. Fraser. Mr. Spence Hayward was the accompanist. A feature of the dancing was the Lambeth Walk which was greatly enjoyed by all. and the Monte Carlo, which was won by Mesdames Eadc and Wilkins. The lucky number prize was won by Mrs. Atford and Master Meese. During the evening reference was made to the departure abroad of two of tlie members, Mrs. Dunn and Mr. (Jregory, and members wished them pleasant voyages. Madame Dunn was the dance pianist, and Mr. F. Anstis was master of ceremonies. All excellent supper was provided by the committee, which was under the charge of Mrs. Anstis.
