Three weeks' annual holiday on full pay is allowed to telephonist**. Ordinary hours of work are to be 88 a fortnight, but overtime Iβ to be paid if over ">0 hours are worked in one week. The overtime rate is time and a half, with a minimum of 1/H an hour. Minimum wages range from £1 for youths commencing work younger thun 17 years, to £4 5/ for workers in their seventh year of servfee or 21 or over, ami in the case of females from 15/ for twirls commencing work nt 17 years to £2 5/ for women in their fifth year or aged 21 years or over. Switchboard attendant* reeahre up to 10/ extra where a staff of afat or more telephonists are employed. A worker ia charge i> to receive not less than £& a week, and at least two others the senior rate.
