NATIONAL DEBT.
INCREASE IN U.S. PREDICTED. WASHINGTON, February 8. Testifying before a committee of Congress, the Secretary of the Treasury, Mr. Henry Morgenthau, predicted that the national debt would reach 50,000,000,000 dollars, and this without endangering the country's financial structure. The present statutory limit of the debt is 45,000,000,000 dollars
