POPE IMPROVES.
PERMITTED TO LEAVE BED. (Received 9.30 a.m.) VATICAN CITY, February 8. The Pope's condition has improved. He was permitted to leave his bed and received Cardinal Pacelli and other prelates. His physician announced that his cold has practically gone. FEVER INCREASES. ALL AUDIENCES POSTPONED. Independent Cable Service. (Received 11.30 a.m.) ROME, February 8. The- Pope had a slight increase of fever this morning. All immediate and general audiences were postponed indefinitely.
