Duke And Duchess Of Kent For Australia. SECOND WEEK IN OCTOBER. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, February 7. It is officially announced that the )uke and Duchess of Kent and their family will leave in the second week of October, arriving at Fremantle on November 14. The Prime Minister, Mr. Lyons, announced that the Duke of Kent will probably be sworn in as GovernorGeneral of Australia in Canberra on November 21 or November 22. VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND. WARM WELCOME ASSURED. (By Telegraph.—Frees Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, said to-night that the New Zealand Government had been officially advised of the visit of the Duke and Duchese of Kent, which was to be made at the end of 1940. "We will all be delighted to meet Their Royal Highnesses," said Mr Savage. "They will be assured of a warm welcome from the Government and people of the Dominion. It is to be hoped they will take the opportunity of visiting various parts of New Zealand and seeing for themselves something of the great possibilities of thi* country."
