MOTORIST FINED £10. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TE KUITI, Tuesday. Evidence that defendant had bcwi chased by a traffic inspector for nve miles and a half at from 50 to 65 j miles an hour was given in the Magis- . trate's Court to-day before Mr. W. H. Freeman, S.M., when George Johitetoti was fined £10, with costs, for negligent driving on January 2. The inspector said Johnston passed two cars travelling abreast in the Awakino Gorge. Two other defendants, Jack Timothy Cotter and Lloyd Sorenson, were each fined £3, with caste, for excessive speed- i ing in Te Kniti. '
