VISITING HORSES.

AUDREY'S LAST FIT. SHADOW SON AND BILL B. ARRIVE. ALEXANDRA PARK NOTES. One of the most interesting horses on the track at Kpsom this morning wae the Hawke's Bay trotter. Audrey's Last, who created a very favourable impression when he won a novice eivnt at Alexandra l'ark at the last Christmas meeting. I , '. West has him in tine racing condition, but he never took him out of a walk. This six-year-old son of Worthy Biugen should again run prominently. J. Bryce, the veteran trainer, arrived with the Great Northern Derby candidate, Shadow Son, and the American horse, Bill 8., who is engaged in the l'apakura Handicap on Saturday. Both pacers travelled well, and they will be given a final work-out to-morrow morning, when the grass track will be available.

Another southerner to arrive was Highland Scot, a two-year-old son of U Scott and Rustic Maid. Highland Scot is engaged in the Great Northern Stakes, which ie to be decided on the second day of the meeting. He is a good type of pacer and, judging by the manner in which he defeated a good field at a Matinee meeting at Addington recently, be will prove to be a formidable rival to Charles Rex and Bonniedene.

Reception (W. Wheeler), who is on the limit in the February Handicap on Saturday, trotted soundly for several rounds, but was not allowed to go fast. This mare has run a number of seconds during the season and hue been somewhat unlucky in not winning a race. Silk Lady (W. H. Andrews) worked unhoppled, but was not after time. She hae put on some condition and is in better racing trim than she waa at Cambridge. Others to do useful tasks were Pukemiro (W. Fleming), Worthy (G. •Stubbe), Fernbrook Lass (L. Laver), Gold Kip (C. M. Morrison), Canadian, Whitstone (L. Laver), Bingen Sun (W. Head). Frank Redmond (A. Paton) and Star Pronto (B. Dyer). Wall Street, who is now in L. Laver a stable, got hung up in a fence a few days ago and sustained severe cuts. This mishap will mean that she will not take her place in the Mount Albert Handicap field.
