MODEL AEROPLANES.
OSNTKHHIAX. CONTEST. Among other competitions to be held" in conjunction with the New Zealand Centennial will be one for craftsmanship in the making of model aeroplanes. The sum of £120 will be paid in prize money. The models will be made from three standard designs. They will be the three machines in use in airlines in New Zealand, the D.H. 8(1, the D.H. 80. and the Lockheed Filectrn. The models will lie built to the scale of 1-inch to a foot. The winning 'plnnes will be hung in the Dominion Gmirt.
Entrip* will be accepted immediately, and will close tentatively in June. Judging wiP take place in the middle of October tie jiiiljLte beliiir Mr. Fred C. Mtfcdonnlfl, of Auckland. The entries will be collected at the. various centre*, and Mr. Maedonaftl will' tour the Dominion to carry out the judging.
