ROMAN POTTERY.
nifDS MADE IH BRITAIH. LONDON. A remarkable group of Roman pottery has been discovered in recent excavations at the Sheepen Farm Site, Colchester. A pit full of unique pottery was found, including a Siuniiin cup and two Samian dishes stamped by Licinue, the Claudian potter. A fine red amphora 3ft Sin high, of a rare kind, hit* been rwonstritctiHl. Another vcshcl i« a iloiilile handled injl. li> Inches high, and 11 inches in diameter. iiml believed to be the only one of its kind in existence.
