ESBENTIAL SUPPLIES. PROMOTION OF ttEALTH. (By Tetefrtplf.—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. Discussing the import licensing regulations, the Minister of Defence, the Hon. P. Praser, in his address to the Hospital Boards' Conference, said there would be no restrictions of essential supplies as far as medicine and other items necessary for the promotion cf health was concerned. At the mime lime he stressed tlmt wherever possible Xew Zealand-made goods should be purchased. Referring to Viscount Xuffield's gift of iron lungs, Mr. Fraser said that soon after the conference hospital boards would be invited to make application to the Department. The boards would have to pay the transport charges from the works.
